Superbowl Sunday

Just about everybody is getting ready for the big game this Sunday, and even if you aren’t a big sports or football fan you’re probably going to be watching Superbowl 48. This years match seems like it might be a little intense and is between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos. For those of you who might not be in the know, the game is going to be on Sunday Feb 2nd at 3:30 PST. Unless you live in a bubble it might be pretty hard to miss.

At first I thought this game was going to be all about Peyton Manning dominating with offense and might not be too fun to watch. After all, he set some all time passing records this year and the Bronco’s are the league’s number one offense. Then I learned that the Seahawk’s were the number one defense, and after reading a bit more it seems like we all might be in for a pretty good matchup.

Add to this fact that the game is going to be played outdoors in New Jersey where it has been extremely cold this year. Weather like that means anything can happen and leaves room for mistakes on both sides of the field. I don’ think they are predicting any snow or nasty weather just yet, but it is definitely going to be cold.

Another thing I wanted to mention about this year’s game is how every year things get more and more commercialized. I realize that the NFL has to make a buck and everything but what about the local business owners and shops around the NY and NJ area. There was an article in the New York Times that touched on this and frankly it was a little disappointing to read. Seems like there should be plenty to go around and is a shame how some local businesses fell left out. In a way it reminds me of the Olympics over the past years and how some cities end up spending more money than they actually take in when hosting a high profile event like this.

I’ll wrap things up here and long story short, regardless of who is playing I am looking forward to the game this weekend. Predictions here are a 100% chance of the BBQ grill getting fired up and some good times. And if the game turns out to be not so exciting, you can bet there might be some pretty decent million dollar commercials that come around:)

And speaking of Superbowl Commercials. I guess YouTube has done a thing called Ad Blitz this year and released a few superbowl commercial teasers early this year. Here’s one below and check out the You Tube Ad Blitz site for more
